Subject Specialist Roles
At the IUSS, teachers carry the responsibility of delivering effective instruction within their specific academic discipline or subject area. These roles are critical to ensuring that students receive high-quality education and are able to develop a deep understanding of the subject matter. The teachers begin with planning and preparing instructional materials, including lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and other learning resources.
They ensure delivering effective instruction using a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, group work, and hands-on activities. The next important task is assessing student learning through formative and summative assessments, and providing feedback to students on their progress. For constant improvement, the teachers collaborate with other educators, administrators, and parents to ensure that students receive a well-rounded education.
